Current Power Technologies maintains and repairs commercial EV charging stations for facility operators across Houston and San Antonio. When a charger goes down, it can stall a fleet, frustrate tenants, or cost a parking spot’s worth of revenue every hour it sits dark.
We built our commercial maintenance program for facilities managers who need chargers working when staff, tenants, and fleet vehicles need them, backed by a family-owned, licensed and insured electrical contractor staffed by Licensed Master Electricians, and a Tesla Energy Certified Installer for EV chargers and superchargers.
When Your Business’s EV Charger Needs Maintenance or a Repair, We Are Here
AT A GLANCE: WHAT’S INCLUDED

What a Preventive Maintenance Visit Covers
Our preventive maintenance visits start with a visual inspection of the charger, its enclosure, and its mounting hardware, and we check for damage, corrosion, or anything that’s come loose since the last visit. We check connector and cable condition, since that’s the part drivers touch every day and the part that wears fastest. We verify grounding and test breaker and circuit protection, confirm the charger’s firmware and network connection are current and reporting correctly, and check that signage and bollards are intact and visible.
Every visit ends with a test charge to confirm the unit performs the way it should under real load. Exact checklist items and visit frequency vary by charger type and site.
When a Charger Goes Offline
When a charger stops working, we start with triage, usually a remote diagnostic check to narrow down whether the issue is electrical, mechanical, or on the network side. From there we coordinate site access with your team, source the parts the repair calls for, and get a technician on-site to resolve it.
If a repair needs escalation, whether that’s a parts order or a utility-side issue outside our control, we keep your facilities team informed at each step so a dark charger doesn’t turn into a surprise during a board meeting or an inspection. Escalation timelines depend on the issue and site access.
Service Agreements and Reporting
Current Power Technologies offers commercial maintenance agreements that cover your EV charging stations on a regular inspection schedule, with documentation you can hand to an auditor, an insurer, or your own leadership without digging through separate vendor files.
These agreements can sit alongside the maintenance plans we already run for commercial electrical systems and standby generators, so your facilities team isn’t managing a different reporting format for every piece of backup and charging infrastructure on the property.
Facility Priorities We Plan Around
Different facilities need different things from a charger that’s working. A multifamily property needs tenant access that’s fair and easy to administer. An office campus needs employee charging that doesn’t become a daily complaint. A fleet yard needs every charger available at shift change, no exceptions. Healthcare campuses need charging that never competes with life-safety systems for attention. Cold storage sites need chargers that don’t distract from refrigeration uptime. Banks need charger issues resolved without disrupting branch operations or security protocols. Data centers need maintenance scheduled around their own operational windows. Retail and customer-facing sites need a broken charger fixed before it costs them a customer. We will work with you to make sure your business continues unhindered.
